“Who’s that?”

Just the other day a parents ask me “Where did all my instructors come from?” I just laughed. “Remember, while you may be new to this center, this is an OLD school. It’s been serving the community now for over 20 years. Some of these instructors like Mr. Woodard have been training and teaching with me for more than a DECADE!” Mr Vickroy even longer! And this July, Mr. Cain will be here teaching classes again while I’m away visiting family. Most of the older students remember Mr. Cain, but to many of the newer faces,he will be someone new, so Mrs. Anderson, Mr. Nguyen, and Mr. Armstrong will be assisting him with all of your names.

Many of you have become accustomed to seeing just a few of the faces of my instructors. From time to time, you will see other instructors on my floor that may not be familiar to you. That doesn’t mean they aren’t an active part of our martial arts family. I have a legion of highly trained adult instructors out there that you may not see as often because they are professionals, students, or parents that have to work their training and teaching around their busy schedules. They have trained with me for many years and have a wealth of experience in teaching here at this school. So if you see someone teaching out there you don’t recognize, like Mr. Cain, relax. They are the unseen fabric of the school that holds it all together.

Being a student is tough work.
