The Tortoise and the Hare

So you want to be a black belt? Well what if you came to class only half the time and put in only half the effort? Well, then you will get half the desired results. It’s like the story of the “Tortoise and the Hare.”

The hare who was much faster only ran hard for a short while, before lying down confident his speed would assure him victory, eventually lost. But the tortoise however, although being much slower stayed true and dedicated to his goal and eventually won. So if you are dedicated towards your goal and let nothing steer you astray you will obtain that goal you set before you with the same desired effects.

Remember, you must persevere through every obstacle and sooner or later you will overcome just like the tortoise. In other words don’t think like the hare. Take heart and think like the tortoise. Remember that a true winner never takes things for granted. Also a true winner never quits and a quitter never wins. So come to class, work hard, and be prepared and victory will be yours!

Being a student is tough work.
